1994

 Pledged to support the Singapore Business Charter for Sustainable Development.

1995

 Launched the Revolutionary Paint Nippon 3-IN-1 Paint.
A paint that can was developed to address the 3 biggest problems households face, and it is the only product that can cover existing and future hairline cracks, waterproof and can be completely washable.

1996

 National Productivity Award.
A Manager was awarded the National Productivity Award (individual category), for her outstanding contribution to productivity improvement at the workplace and for dedication and commitment to the Productivity Movement.

1997

 Achieved ISO 14001 Award.
Nippon Paint holds the distinction of being the first company in the paint industry, the first company in the chemical process industry and the first local manufacturing enterprise to be awarded the PSB ISO 14000 Certification.

This certification confirms an organisation on the Environment Management System. It demonstrates our Environmental Policy: “…..We are committed to prevent pollution and comply with relevant local environmental legislation in our continual effort to create safe and non-polluting products and services…”

1998

 Finalist in the Singapore Environmental Achievement Award.
Press released by Singapore Environment Council: “…. Nippon Paint recognises the need for balance between business needs and the environmental concerns of society … contributed towards making the work place, environment and products safe and non-polluting…”

1998

 Achieved the Singapore Quality Class Award. This is to certify that Nippon Paint (S) Co Pte Ltd has achieved the highest standard required under the Singapore Quality Award framework for business excellence and was thus admitted into the Singapore Quality Class.

1999

 Pledged as a Responsible Care Company.
The guiding principles are to ensure a high level of protection for the health and safety of employees, customers and the general public and the environment.

1998

 Launched Nippon 3-IN-1 Medifresh Anti-Bacterial Paint.
Nippon 3-IN-1 Medifresh has been specially formulated to eliminate the threat of bacterial invasion from the walls of interiors, promoting cleaner and fresher living conditions. Tested by the Japan Food Research Laboratory and PSB Singapore, the Nippon 3-IN-1 Medifresh formula provides a long-lasting coating of environmental protection against a range of bacteria including MRSA, E-Coli and Staphylococcus Aureus.

1999

 Voted the Best Advertisement by TV12.
TV 12 viewers voted Nippon Paint’s Mongolian TV commercial as their favorite commercial.

2000

 Awarded SPH’s “Advertisement of the Month Award”.
The cheeky baby bums painted with colour Nippon 3-IN-1 Medi Fresh paints was awarded the advertisement of the month in January 2000.

2000

 Selected by PSB Singapore for the Ministerial Visit To Local Enterprises By BG George Yeo (Minister for Trade & Industry) on 10 January 2000.

Theme: Building World-Class Enterprises, Sub-Theme: Innovative Growth Firms.

An appreciation letter was received from the Chief Executive of PSB , Mr Lee Suan Hiang commenting that “…… With a wide range of products covering both the retail and industrial sector, your constant product renewal and innovation has set the standards for the industry. For instance, your newly launched 3-IN-1 Anti-bacterial paint …bears testimony to the resilience of the company in staying ahead of competition….”

2002

 Achieved the ISO 9001:2000 award. This certification is a testimony of Nippon Paint’s commitment and staff’s dedication in achieving quality, safety and environmental excellence.

2005

 Odour-less Premium All-in-1 Launch of Nippon Paint’s breakthrough Odour-less Premium All-in-1
Nippon Paint introduced Singapore’s first advanced odourless paint formula that has virtually no paint odour. The environment-friendly paint emits near-zero levels of Volatile Organic Content (VOC), an air pollutant hazardous to the environment.

2007

 Easy Wash with Teflonâ„¢ Nippon Paint introduces Easy Wash with Teflon™ technology that makes walls super easy to clean, thus preventing common household stains on the walls of high-traffic areas.

2008

 OHSAS 18001 is an Occupation Health and Safety Assessment Series for health and safety management systems. It is intended to help an organization to control occupational health and safety risks. It was developed in response to widespread demand for a recognized standard against which to be certified and assessed.

2009

 SolaReflect Launch of Nippon Paint’s breakthrough SolaReflect.
Nippon Paint introduced SolaReflect, a premium exterior paint which boast state of the art infra-red reflective technology. The environmentally-friendly paint also has excellent weather resistance, efflorescence resistance and dirt resistance.

2009

 Aqua Bodelac Launch of Singapore’s first water based enamel wood and metal paint – Aqua Bodelac.
Nippon Paint introduced Aqua Bodelac, a water based wood and metal paint which boasts of the same excellent properties of the enamel based Bodelac. This environmentally friendly paint is easier to apply and greatly shortens drying time – ideal for DIY enthusiast.
