On 22 November 2023, Nippon Paint (S) Co Pte Ltd (the “Company”) was notified that five employees of the Company had been charged in Court for allegedly committing offences under the Penal Code following investigations by the Corrupt Practices Investigation Bureau (the “CPIB“) of Singapore. 

The Company notes the above mentioned developments and has suspended the five employees. We are fully committed to upholding our strong corporate governance standards and code of conduct. Any and all allegations of corrupt practices by our employees are therefore treated with utmost gravity by us and we will continue to drive awareness of these high standards amongst our employees.

It is regrettable that these activities have occurred as these five employees, some of whom have worked in the Company for many years, have contributed to our past and current success. While we do not condone any illegal or unethical practices and activities, because of their past contributions, the Company will consider how it can support these five employees and their affected families.

No allegation of corruption or wrongdoing has been made against the Company, and the Company continues to extend its full cooperation and assistance to the CPIB on the matter. Our business continues as usual and we look forward to continue working with and supporting all our customers.
