The maintenance of all your tools – from filling knives to scrapers right down to brushes and rollers – after the job is done is extremely important, as this will affect the quality of your next decorating job.

A good pointer to bear in mind, after you have finished painting, is to scrape any excess paint back into the tin, and to wash all your painting tools in warm soapy water.
